The Good Shepherd
Passage: John 10:1-18
Lent is the season of 40 days leading up to Easter Sunday (excluding Sundays). This is a season of prayerful preparation for celebrating the resurrection of Jesus on Easter. It is also an intentional time of reflecting on our frailty, our need for Jesus, and remembering all that He has accomplished through the cross and resurrection. Traditionally, Lent is associated with fasting. But Lent is more than giving up social media. It is an invitation to examine and embrace our identity in Christ. This is not another season of striving or performing to please God, but a time of relinquishing control in order to experience the freedom of grace, forgiveness, and new life in Christ. Lent is about the gospel changing up from the inside out because of the One we follow. Join us for our Lenten sermon series Follow.
